Heather Kelly is maybe best known as the lead singer and driving force behind rock bands HipKnosis, and its immediate predecessor, H&K. The four albums made by those groups are well respected for their songwriting and arrangements, and are notable for Heather’s confidently charming vocals.
Heather’s catalog is more extensive than just those four records. Over the last few years, Heather has continued recording with HipKnosis bandmate Dave Hearn, releasing digital singles of songs by Hearn and one co-written by the two together. The results are; Love Shines In Your Eyes, Hearts Get Broken, and Summerland. All are currently available for digital download online.
Heather’s recording career began in Erick Hovey’s barn/studio more than a decade ago. Now, for the first time, tracks from those sessions are becoming available online. Included in these new releases are; Love Affair (by Erick Hovey, and digitally transferred and new vocal produced by Dave Hearn), Love Spell (Erick Hovey), Hiding (Kelly/Hovey), Close Your Eyes (Hovey), and Why Do We Live This Way (Kelly/Hovey). The last three were remixed by Dennis Carlson.
Heather and Dave Hearn continue writing and recording together as of this writing.
